Though that pretty much confirms who was behind
Rhyme and Reason.
Name coincidences are nothing new.

I think I had read somewhere that Rich Jeffries (not the announcer) was involved with the old Vincent Price "ESP" show, which sort of earned him a creator credit for "Blank Check" without any actual involvement - sort of like Jan Murray "creating" the Chuck Barris "Treasure Hunt" (which, in a way, he did, but without the goofy stunts of Tom Pedi, Mike and Ellen Metzger, and Steve Friedman).

Seems to me that Mr. Jeffries (no relation) was also credited as an AP on "Blank Check" (and was credited as co-creator with William T. Naud in a "based on an idea by" credit). However, I also realize that Howard Merrill got a "Creative Supervision" credit on "IGAS" all throughout Allan Sherman's stint as producer, despite the fact that he dropped out of the show after he and Sherman sold the show to G-T, so just because a person's name is on the credits it doesn't necessarily mean they're actually involved with the program.
