Here's a link to new information on the game show DVDs from Endless Games:

http://www.endlessgames.com/new1.html

In other related information, amazon.com lists a July 1st release date, for the DOND electronic games, and DVD version.  It's probably a mistake on the quoted prices, since the handheld is supposed to be the cheaper of the two from itoys.

Also, I received an email from a Jakks Pacific representative, stating that the Jeopardy! Plug and Play game is now available (at Walmart, Target,  & Radio Shack).  I haven't seen them, but wondered if anybody else has.

Just one question:  Who are Bettie White and Aston Kutcher? :-)

I think the Jakks representative is on something...Amazon.com doesnt even list Jeopardy game as being available, there are no listings for it on eBay, and the Jakks official site itself doesn't list the Jeopardy game as even released yet...

The latter means nothing...the Jakks website has always been, well, Jakked.

I wonder if the "Where is your favorite place to make whoopee?" question will be on the DVD.  If I was playing, I would already have an answer.  :)

amazon.com is now showing an illustration of box art for the table-top DOND game.  Apparently they know it is the more expensive version, but they still list the hand-held as being "table-top."  Here is the link:

Amazon and ToysRUs.com is now taking pre-orders for the new DOND box game.  Here is a link to it:

http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detai...g=UTF8&v=glance

If you look closely, you'll notice the contents are from the Australian edition, but I'm sure it will look different once the actual game becomes available.

I also found a press statement that MGA toys and games, which is most famous for its line of Bratz dolls and accessories, has the rights to $100,000 Pyramid.  Here is that link:

You mean the 100,00 Pyramid?

boardgames.com is now showing a clearer illustration of DOND from Pressman, including the contents.  Click here to check it out:

While on the subject of DOND, today's Detroit News had an article on it (contributed by the New York Times).  Here is that link:

Not to get all Odor, but I can't say I'm impressed. The door-system for the game board looks kinda chintzy, and the rest of the parts I could really assemble myself if I really wanted to instead of giving Pressman an ungodly amount of money.

I dunno. I guess with Endless setting the bar so low, I'm pleased with the game contents. If they had their hands on it, the money board would be crossing out figures with a crayon and there'd be no form of briefcase for the money cards. Outside of giving you plastic-molded briefcases, this is all you can do IMO. Not saying I'll pick it up anywhere but the thrift store or clearance rack, but...

Well, yeah. I admit I'm somewhat jaded going in because I think it's a completely idiotic idea for a home game. (And I DO mean idiotic. REALLY idiotic. Idiotic on a par with the notion of a WWTBAM game. Idiotic on a par with the Survivor computer games that Atari did when I was working for them. Anyone who buys this as anything other than a collector's item will earn nothing but my contempt.)

But at the same time I hold Pressman to a higher standard because they AREN'T Endless. They've done good with Wheel Of Fortune, I see no reason why they shouldn't do this right, as much as it can be done right. Just because Endless gives us crap does not mean we should sit here and take it when one of the "real" publishers drops the ball.

There is something to playing the WWTBAM box game by the book as a multiplayer exercise. And it's got nice components. But yes, overall, not that good of an idea.

As for DOND still, what would you want done differently?
