Just got confirmation that I'll be attending the taping of the 'Chain Reaction' pilot tomorrow, so that's THREE[/u].  So, which bakery sweets will we consume after the taping is complete (wink, wink)?
[/quote]

I'm still waiting for a reply.  How long did it take until the audience coordinator replied back saying that you're confirmed to go?

(If I hear from him, make the count number 4. :))

Even if you don't get a confirmation e-mail, I would go anyway if you knew when to show up.  I doubt they would turn you away for what I think is a pilot taping.

I'll be there, as well...and man, I hope they decide to shoot the actual series in NY, should this pilot sell.

It was not stupid for USA and the production company, cheaper to produce in Canada than the US, no? Many of us on this board have a soft spot for the Canadian produced shows seen in the US in the 70s-80s, despite their lower prize budgets. It was a low budget original show for USA, and it ran five years for them. Big money don't make a game show any better in most cases, as most people here will tell you.

Then if you think that way, then how do you think that GS's like To tell the Truth were revived so many times? It was not b/c of the cheap payoffs, it was b/c of the solid gameplay.

I e-mailed last night at 11PM and got a reply this afternoon around 1PM.  I would show up at the address of the studio and just tell the people there you were told you could get in.  That's how I got into the taping for a TV Land-produced pilot of Jump the Shark (never aired!) one Saturday afternoon at the same facility.  I got there, told them I got an e-mail telling me to show-up, they couldn't find me on their list but let me in anyway!

Sounds like fun.

But the distance & time to get there combined with the fact that there are no auditions, makes me have to pass.
Enjoy lots and lots of backstage TPIR photos and other fun stuff here. And yes, I did park in Syd Vinnedge's parking spot at CBS

Thanks.  It doesn't matter, though.  I received the confirmation!  I'm FOUR!

Time and distance aren't stopping me, despite the fact that I'm about twice as far from this as you are. AND the fact that I'm sandwiching this between apartment-hunting trips to Long Island, the first of which I just got back from not 10 minutes ago.

As with TPiL, it's not whether you win, lose, or even get to play...it's how much fun you have after the show. (Right, Randy?)

Haha...oh Mr. Ottinger during my 2.5 hour train ride, I'll be working on my comp programs and paperworks like an executive along the NE Corridor.  I'll perhaps write a report afterwards!

Crap.  Of all the times to be in *Western* PA.

Ah, well.  Looking forward to full reports (or at least reports as full as permissible).

Sadly (for me), it looks as if pressing home improvements will keep me from the taping...darn.
Add me, then to the number anxiously awaiting details.

-----------------------------

...Okay, maybe I spoke too soon.  I did make it to the taping, where I met a number of nice fellow members.

If anyone wishes to make a summary, I'm willing to add details.

But to start things off, I enjoyed the shows.
