Didn't Joey go on Pyramid during season 10?

Yes, very good.  I was actually referring to the Jeopardy question a couple of years ago that referred to another show called Friends in the late '70s.  It was a Sunday night show on ABC that lasted about 6 episodes.

References were made Friends '79 on the last three GSN airings of P+, and will be on the next two airings, as Karen Morrow from said show is on the aforesaid P+ week of shows

In other scheduling news, Deal has been extended to 2 hours on Monday 5/15. and it will be pre-empted by Dateline the following Friday.

Pre-emptive strike against ABC.  The 2-hour season finale of "Gray's Anatomy" is scheduled that night.

Once in about two weeks my satellite feed from NBC is active during prime time on a night when Deal airs and its a rerun from last time I had a feed!

I noticed they taped a part of it just incase it aired the same night and edited the information on Miss American pagent  from last time.

Is this normal im not in North America to know.

And don't get me started on how they let Friends last 10 years!

And how there's now almost two complete rows of Friends DVDs in your local music/movie store; from the season sets, to the "best of" each season, to the finale, to the shorter DVDs with nothing but baby episodes, marriages, etc.  They certainly are trying to milk that show for all its worth, aren't they.
[/quote]
As a fan of the show, I'll point out:

1) Friends is owned by Warner Brothers, which makes all decisions regarding the DVDs -- NBC has nothing to do with that.

2) Friends ever fell out of the Nielsen top five except the first season, which finished at number 8.  You're think NBC would cancel a show like that?  You see, they make more money that way.

Swinging back to the original topic, Saturday's two-hour burnoff of the last Celebrity Cooking Showdown episodes garnered a 1.8 rating, which isn't a record, but is certainly among the all-time lowest ratings for one of the traditional Big Three networks.
This has been another installment of Matt Ottinger's Masters of the Obvious.
Stay tuned for all the obsessive-compulsive fun of Words Have Meanings.

Darn it, just two tenths of a pecentage point less and we would have tied the record of that XFL game's low 1.6 a few years back.  Jeff Zucker is probably looking at a picture of Brandon Tartikoff and shedding a small tear (like the Indian on that TV commercial)!

Meaning most of the country failed to see former Barker's Beauty Cindy Margolis win the first (and only) running of this "event".

And that's probably just the 18-21 demographic of "hormones with feet", as Alan Thicke sometimes referred to his own sons.

Speaking of which, another Barker's Beauty (I think -- she's listed as such on Wikipedia and one of her web sites, but isn't listed on IMDB) Alexandria Karlsen will also be dropping her duds again (she's already been a Playboy Playmate) -- she's be appearing in Penthouse in June.  This may be a TPIR first.

If she, in fact, isn't a Barker's beauty, feel free to note as such.

As for Deal or No Deal, we usually watch DVDs on Fridays.
