New addition to my site
« on: April 29, 2006, 11:36:05 AM »
Well, it isn't 100% new, just some stuff I added and "re-jiggered."

I've put up a "Deal Downloads" page off of my gameshow stuff. I moved my MP3s there, provided a few links (to what I consider quality sites) and a few backgrounds for your desktop.

More than 40, actually. Fanboys...you may want to make a Bed Bath & Beyond run (oh, and a stop at Linen's & Things might not be a bad idea either...).

Get 'em quick before NBC shuts me down!

Very nice. The link at the bottom to Cory's game is broken, tho, I had to edit it in my browser manually. Looks like you double-punched when you pasted in the URL. :)

Or as we call it at our house, "Sheets & Stuff"
This isn't a plug, but you can ask me about my book.

It's neat to see a compiled list of the models' first and last names.  A little Googling off that list ought to keep BB&B stock rising for months.  Somebody with more time that I have might want to make a list of which of those models have their own personal websites.  (I'm only familiar with Lisa Gleave's.)
This has been another installment of Matt Ottinger's Masters of the Obvious.
Stay tuned for all the obsessive-compulsive fun of Words Have Meanings.

Totally pointless observation: If we were still in the era where game shows had daytime & nighttime versions, the Aussie version would be about right for daytime Deal.

I haven't updated it (yet) but I'm trying to compile some icons for use if you have a LiveJournal. I suppose you could also use them as avatars on forums, etc as well.

Anyway, if anyone has 1337 skillz making icons, send me your DOND icons (from any country). If you're making them, remember that LJ has a limit of 40Kb in size and dimensions of 100x100 pixels.

Standard icon etiquette rules, etc will be posted (and your username will go in the filename). Still working out the method of "Provided by:". It'll probably be a generic "Icons by" list, but we'll see.

As an aside, does anyone know who Case #11 was last night?

The only model in Wednesday's credits whom you do not have on your site is Kristen Brockman

Thanks Matt. I ended up going back and made some notes.

Model #7 (Sara) was never mentioned by name and #25 never had any camera-time except having Scott St John's names supered on her.

Comparing models named vs the credits actually left me with 3 names. Howie referred to #11 as "Katie" (according to the CC) but that's Ms Brockman as you pointed out. Katie (Cleary) isn't in the credits at all, natch.

So...#25 must be Lindsay S.

Aha...I'm looking at the credits now. Sara (Bronson, #7) is not in the credits but Sonia (Vera) is, despite not being there.

How many minutes to Wapner?

Did the screenwriters of "Rain Man" ever consider that Wapner was syndicated and, thus, was not neccessarily on at the same time across the country?  Or were they inferring that Raymond memorized when the show was on in each local market (New York, 4pm, Terre Haute, 5:30, Las Vegas 10am, etc.) Just an observation, not a serious question :)

The conclusion I came to was that most people (not us TV geeks) wouldn't know the difference. :)
