Sports Illustrated's cover story this week is of Barry Bonds.

It says that Barry's ESPN series, Bonds on Bonds, is getting worse ratings than last year's "forgettable" show, Teammates.

Mods.... seriously.  Is there anything you can do about this?  This is really getting dumb, and is completely immaterial to game shows.

Also, lots of people keep mentioning asterisks in connection with Barry Bonds -- and TPIR has used asterisks as a design element!  Amazing how this all fits together.

Lovely. Next thing you know, Henke'll say something's game show related because it was once a puzzle of Wheel of Fortune.

Oh, wait...

Let's talk about what's really important here--any guy who can't homer off the Cubs doesn't deserve an SI article. ;-D

At least THAT would have been a game show.

I'm convinced this idiot is just kept around for comic relief.

Well, Mark Patrick was the original host of HM and was a sports director for WISH-TV and is a sport host at an Indy Sports Radio station.  Maybe, he will mention this morning/afternoon show(s).

I have a hard time seeing how Henke's flights of fancy are ruining anyone's fun around here when you guys are tripping over yourselves every time to make jokes about it.

Trust me, it's very much a "we laugh, because we dare not cry" type of thing.

Henke or Bonds?

Look, sometimes game show references are relevant (such as noting the quick adoption of "Deal or no deal?" as a national catchphrase during a discussion of that show's success) but this is, ah, ridikaloss.

Of course, nothing short of duct tape is going to help.
