At a recent J! audition there was a freebie of the J! DVD given out for the person who could name the only game show host besides Alex Trebek to wear a mustache while hosting a game show.  The person who won the DVD answered Groucho Marx.  I thought of Gary Owens when I heard about this question.  Are there others?

Bob Goen on "Blackout".

There was also that week of Wheel of Fortune where Pat Sajak's evil twin tied him up backstage and then hosted it in his place. You could totally tell it was the evil twin because of that mustache.

I don't want to drag my tapes out to look, but I always picture Lee Bowman (What's Going On?) with a thin mustache.

Great question, Mark!

There was Jack Bailey on Queen For a Day and Truth or Consequences , Ernie Kovaks on Take a Good Look (shudder).
Paul Winchell had the full deal, mustache and beard, on Runaround . And how could we forget good ol' Bruce Forsythe on Hot Streak?

And with that, I'm spent.

And "Perfect Match", the "Newlywed Game" Clone.

And IIRC, Adam Faith from "Musical Chairs".

Was Rip Taylor's moustache real or a two-for-one deal with his hair?
Let's Make a Deal was the first show to air on Buzzr. 6/1/15 8PM.

Was Rip Taylor a game show host?

If panelists count, Richard Dawson had a moustache in 1973, yes?

And how about Richard Karn? Sure he has a beard to go with it, but there is definitely hair on his upper lip.

Rip did host the $1.98 Beauty Show, which arguably could be considered a game show.

Did Dawson have his moustache when hosting Masquerade Party(or the LA based-show Lucky Pair)?

Craig Shoemaker had a goatee when doing My Generation on VH1.

Gabe Kaplan had a mustache and/or beard when hosting the NFL Trivia Game on ESPN in the late 80s.

An even more obscure one than those: John Shearin had a mustache when he was the moderator on 1984's Guilty or Innocent.

Really?  I don't remember that at all.

As for the "flawed" question, I doubt very seriously that anybody who could come up with the obscure answers we found couldn't also realize that Groucho Marx is the answer they wanted.
