Are they going to be showing complete episodes or just highlights?
Let's see.  21 hour-long installments or 42 half-hours covering fifty shows.  I would guess the latter.

What I would like to see is a year-by-year overview of all game shows, that way the unsung get their due instead of just the well known.  Any shows without clips would be represented by photographs from the Westbrook collection.  Doing the show chronologically would allow for new episodes covering subsequent years.
I'm afraid GSN wants to do one of those "I Love The..." formatted shows where they do a countdown of 50 shows, show 30-60 seconds of footage then spend much longer time with the usual comedians and D-list celelebrities doing the usual wandering commentary on said shows.

Screw the D-listers, just get about 30 or 40 of us in a room and let US do their color commentaries!!

Well, at least it's something. GSN is starting to care that their initials stand for something. Now all they need to do is rehire the big green ball and we've got something.
Fact To Make You Feel Old: Just about every contestant who appears in a Price is Right Teen Week episode from here on out has only known a world where Drew Carey has been the host.

And if they brought back TJW and TTD and also the 1968-75 WML and 1969-78 TTTT that would be cool. And NBC-Universal should get the anchors out of their pants and reduce the price to air Concentration so we can see all versions of the show on GSN.

Who had 19 as the number of posts until someone did a laundry list of "GSN should dig these out of the vaults or pay to run these shows"? You won the pool.

Why should they?  Gotta make a profit somehow.

Right now those tapes are generating ZERO revenue.  Something tells me NBC-U may consider an offer that gets them something for them.

Nah, I'm betting we're looking at another VH-1 list show, which seems to be all they ever carry these days. (And more and more channels are carrying them. In the kingdom of the million channels, the five-second stop is king).
This isn't a plug, but you can ask me about my book.

Given Occam's Razor, there are two likely possibilities:

1) GSN hasn't made them any offers, in which case someone needs to deliver unto them a proper cockpunch, or

2) NBC does indeed place a value on those tapes currently generating nothing, and GSN has not made them an offer of that size.

I know not NBC's motive for the latter, nor do I know if it's reasoned or intelligent, but I'm leaning in that direction.

The Prof has added several item to his 'breaking news' section (http://tvgameshows.net/breakingnews.htm): Body Language replaces TTTT'90 at 9:30AM beginning July 31st.  Finally, GSN pulls a show out of the vaults for a schedule change rather than just move existing shows around!  Also, Chain Reaction and Starface debut Aug. 1st from 9 to 10PM Tuesday through Sunday ('Chain' gets encores at the overnight 3:00AM time slot on Thursdays/Fridays and a 2:30PM slot on weekends) and some other stuff gets moved around weekend afternoons ('Lingo,' 'Love Connection,' etc.).  Looks like we have to remove the 'mild' from this title thread.

And that's NOT the new Chain Reaction logo... Steve found the logo of a Swiss punk band (chain-reaction.ch) and "borrowed" it.

No one "has" to do anything.

I'm a little dissapointed about Body Language...I'll only have GSN for a week or so following the schedule change.

Glad to see the return of Body Language. An awesome show, if I do say so myself. But I may be saying that only because it was the first game show I watched religiously...

I mean, I'm fine with T.T.T.T. taking an exit, because I've seen all of these epsiodes. I thought T.T.T.T. '80 was going to take its place, though...

From his site:

"The graveyard of NBC failures vs. The Young & the Restless after Jeopardy! was moved in 1974 could cover a section of Forest Lawn Cemetery."

WTF?! English, Steve! His attempt to make a cute analogy makes the sentence very awkward to read, not to mention there's absolutely no significant punctuation (not counting the period is "vs." or the exclamation point in "Jeopardy!". Some things are just better left unsaid.
"It wasn't like this on Tic Tac Dough...Wink never gave a damn!"

"Chain Reaction" met the same fate as many other game shows that were scheduled against 'The Young and the Restless," cancellation after only a few weeks.

If you'll pardon me, I'm going to ring up the South County Journal and see if they need an editor.

Not to pile on too much, but Y&R had moved to 1pm in Feb of 80, a couple of weeks after CR debuted.  Many markets delayed Y&R to 1 even before that. For CR  clearance was probably the biggest problem.  In my home state of Michigan, not one NBC affiliate cleared the show.
Let's Make a Deal was the first show to air on Buzzr. 6/1/15 8PM.
