I have to agree that this little stunt was successful and I wouldn't be surprised if they do something like this again in the future.

I'd be interested in seeing if the ratings were even .05 higher.  Its not like they advertised this on any other network...(to my knowledge).

Well i am hoping the ratings are good for this. The three that will matter in the ratings are Chain Reaction, Starface, and the 50 greatest. They were on the primetime schedule more than anything. I would not be surprised if it went up to a .5 at all.

To me it seems like they promised to bring a cake, set out to bake it and found they didn't have all the ingredients.  Rather than going to the store to get them, they just used what they had.  Leaving a bad taste in the mouth.

Let's Make a Deal was the first show to air on Buzzr. 6/1/15 8PM.

To extend your very apt analogy, it is always unwise to start a major baking project on a day when the only grocery store open is 7-Eleven, where a bag of sugar is $10.00. :)

This is much better than that "drinking diarrhea" analogy made earlier.  Yuck.

Well...I guess if you enjoyed what was on the bottom and middle of the cake, then it wasn't ALL bad.  You kind of figured GSN would find a way to mess up the topping though...

To me, it's like a gorgeous cake was presented in front of me but the baker misread the ingredients and put salt instead of sugar in the cake, leaving a horrible taste in my mouth about the whole thing.

Why am I humming a certain Jimmy Webb song made famous by Richard Harris here?

Here's hoping GSN will never have this recipe again.

At the very least, some good did come out of all this.

I just went back and realized I made the 1000th post, meaning I win the TPIR stills. I'd like them delivered to my house the same day TPIR brings back Telephone Game. :)

Done.  :)

Although I have no bonus for you reaching your 100th.

/prays that TPiR doesn't bring back the Phone Home Game, although there was a marvelous reenactment of it at this past summer's Congreff

Wow, didn't even notice I hit 100! Awesome!

I'll leave the quality of those 100 up for debate. Keep in mind that I'm the one who posted the rules to all those Time Machine mini-games. And even worse, earlier in this topic I said I liked Studs. :)

Just out of curiosity, what games did you guys play?

(And for what it's worth, the phone jack from that game still exists in the Big Doors, so I suppose if they really, really wanted to... ;-)

I'm blanking on a few, but they were all retired games.  One was Professor Price, another was Bump.  Don Howard served as announcer, and his lovely bride was the bumper.  I'll defer to him (or anyone else there) for the others.

/And I blew my own joke by confusing Telephone Game and the Phone Home Game.
//Speaking of blanking, in the MG7x game that followed TPiR at the Congreff, I completely blanked on a question.  And I was in the proverbial Richard Dawson seat at the time.  {Insert your own joke here.}  Oy.

Bullseye I and Walk of Fame were two others.  I want to say the other game was Add 'Em Up, but my memory tends to fail on me at such a late hour.
