Okay, I've got to ask -- why did you play Bullseye?  (And probably a pointless question, but was it won?)

He more than likely played 2-Player Bullseye, which is of course, retired.

Yes, I'd say that's likely.

In order, the games played during the Congrefs V ice-breaker were:
* Bullseye I
* Walk Of Fame
* The Phone Home Game
* Penny Ante
* Professor Price
* Bump
One of the prizes in the Showcase was a trip to Cleveland.
That received the most applause from the august body.
This could've been because I was waving my hands in the
air like a crazed inmate.

My body's been called many things, but it's never been called august.

*rereads Don's reply*

THE august body?  Someone besides me went overboard?

Certainly doesn't sound that way to me.  Either way, though, awfully strange choice.

The original plan was to play all retired games on Thursday the 13th and current games on Friday the 14th.
However, What's My Line? Live! On Stage lasted longer than expected, so the second evening of TPiR never happened.
I blame Marty Ingels.

Don't we all.

Hey, did you notice that Shirley Jones didn't win the Emmy he was predicting she would?
This has been another installment of Matt Ottinger's Masters of the Obvious.

Actually, that's not what I was getting at.  (In fact, we did that at Golden-Road once.)  What I was getting at was, of all the retired games...why Bullseye?  It seems like a pretty odd choice to kick off the night with a game that pretty much isn't going to be won.

At the end, I walked up to him and said, "It's a pleasure to meet you."  His response:  "No, it's not."

After further review, he was right.  :)

I apologize for bumping this thread up, but, I just want everyone to remember that beginning this Saturday from 8-10PM E/T, GSN will be rearing The 50 Greatest Game Shows Of All Time Special.

So, If you forgot to record a show that you missed, or you had bad storms in your area, this is your chance to see it and tape it again if you want to.

Again, just a heads up, folks!

And if you want to see such great game shows as Studs and The $1.98 Beauty Show, you can do that too.

Me, I think I have to go out and buy a dog. So I can wash it.

Every week, I will be ranking the shows according to what I think about them. I will not be offended If someone disagrees with me, but, this is just in my opinion.

Here we go!

#50- 3's A Crowd: 8 out of 10. I really enjoyed this show very much. I used to watch it when it was on GSN back in 2000-2001. I know alot of people do not like this show, but, I do.:)

#49- Treasure Hunt: 11 out of 10. This show is just SWEET! EVERYTHING about this show is just COOL! The host, the contestants, the prizes, its ALL GOOD!
Extra points for leaving in the Johnny Jacobs (Announcer) fee plugs and the credits! GSN hit a home run with this show. I really hope that the ratings were good for this show tonight. So maybe GSN will return it to the schedule sometime. I know they have to pay for it, but, they can do it:):):):angel:

#48- BlockBuster's: 9 out of 10. Great show hosted by Bill Cullen. Its one of my favorites. Good :22 Second gold rush win!!:)

#47- Studs: 3 out of 10. Why this was on GSN's list is beyond me.:shake:  I don't know if I would like it or not. It didn't look too exciting from what I read about it. Well, happy we didn't get to see it.

#46- Hollywood Showdown: 10 out of 10. I was SO happy to see this after 6 years of not seeing it. Todd Newton was GREAT on this show. Much better then Whammy! Thanks GSN for the credits:)

Well, for me what a great night for Game Shows. I got to see two shows I haven't seen in a while, one I've never seen, and a :22 Second Blockbuster win!

Thank You GSN!!

Wow, way to throw any credibility this might have had out the window in the very first post.
