8. The Newlywed Game(They love Barris so much they will show two)
That's why they showed double runs of all the other Barris shows, huh?

5. Family Fued
Feud.
How hard is that?
Mark, c'mon. Do you have to correct every single spelling mistake someone makes, esp. a word like Feud, which I can understand tricking people up?

I'm not sure which side you're taking, but Chuck has has introduced himself as an intelligent, thoughtful poster who misspelled one word and got shit for it from our resident shit thrower.

So what I'm saying is, I know which side you'd BETTER be on, because I'm frankly tired of shit being thrown.

I hope that was abundantly clear.

Perhaps I failed to detect the sarcasm. If I did, mea culpa.

Though I don't know if I like the tone of this too much. Aren't I allowed to be on any side I want to be?

"Four" instead of "for" and you didn't get it?  The Klauss-Gibson people need a word with you, stat.

Thumbs way up tonight. Good epsiode of Password, some of those words were so hard! Also, good to see a Larry Blyden WML? epsiode, as I missed out when GSN aired it during their baseball tribute. Good start for the week, so far.

Watching the two shows back-to-back tonight, I'm more convinced than ever that straight-up Password would never go over today, and that straight-up What's My Line? absolutely would.

Reading this (I agree with the WML? point especially), I have to ask a question...

Could any form of Password be a hit today?
I suppose you can still learn stuff on TLC, though it would be more in the Goofus & Gallant sense, that is (don't do what these parents did)"- Travis Eberle, 2012

Well, since all Bob Stewart shows seem to to be connected to each other, I'll cite Pyramid as a precedence and say it might.  It would just need a lot of flair and pizzaz, which is something Password has never relied on.

But I use the Pyramid example in a more negative light: for all the flash and flair they may or may not have conveyed, the game just had too many flaws (mostly fixable, IMO, but flaws nonetheless) to work out for much longer than it did.

You have to be careful in adding your own touches to games, I always say. Sometimes you add too much in, and it takes away from the game (re: someone on one of the netgame groups trying to make Win Ben Stein's Money into a four player game, and when told it didn't work as said person pressed anyway).

I'm going to go out on a limb here and guess that you are thinking of Pyramid in the specific Donny Osmond sense, and Joe is thinking about Pyramid in the general sense and just didn't think he had to type to The $10,000/$20,000/$25,000/$50,000/$100,000 Pyramid for people to understand what he was talking about.

I thought that tonight's offerings were pretty good. Thankfully I wasn't alive for Jimmy Carter's reign as president - He seems like a very boring, dull man. #13 is tomorrow, so we're either getting an hour-long show (Millionaire?), two episodes of one show (ala Lingo), or maybe even a special episode (Larson PYL?).
