GSN 50 greatest game shows special...

TAR was featured in the press sheets, but I really, REALLY don't think (or at least I hope) that GSN considers it to be in the Top 15. If we do, we have problems.

Gee I thought the push for The Amazing Race was over last night when What's My Line aired!

There are 13 shows left!!  They are all iconic game shows no list is going to be without.  There is no longer any room for The Amazing Race.  They have been listed on this board many times.

BTW I wish it was.  It is TV show about competition(games) between teams, what else is a game show.  It is one of my favorite TV shows ever.  However, there is no way it should replace one of the 13 left

i hope we get a davidson TPIR when that show comes up. i really doubt GSN could get the barker version, although that would be cool too.

I was trying to say I am a supporter of The Amazing Race but I still think its chances of being on the list are over!!

Okay, kids, one more time. If they do not:

1) Air an episode of The Price Is Right, and

2) Make damned sure it is a Bob Barker episode

...then they will be the laughingstock of the cable industry. And you'll notice they're not doing so hot in the first place.

Newsflash: GSN does have the Barker version of TPiR, they're just not allowed to air it. This is the reason I suspect TPiR may not be #1. As for Davidson, that was bad. Besides, that version is owned by Paramount or Viacom.

All I'm saying is that the "what constitutes a game show" argument has been played out here a million times, and never with good results, and that you're gonna have a lot of people thinking you're a complete idiot if you try it yourself, so better that you don't.
