I can see it, aaron (obviously). Not only could you make the arguement that it gave the game show genre a shot in the arm, let alone reviving network shows, it would be a good companion with Price because it can fill the episode's hour.
I'm of the mindset that there will be no episode of Price. Fremantle isn't really big on using clips without an Act of Congress, let alone full episodes. I don't think they're going to make an exception here unless someone's ready to blow all that money they made from PlayMania.

Oh, I definitely agree with you about it giving game shows a shot in the arm. Look at what it spawned for awhile - lots of imitations and more prime time game shows for us to enjoy. It's only been around for 8 years - I'm thinking something more dated is going to join TPiR in the top 2. I don't know what, but I don't think it will be as new as WWTBAM.
As far as no episode of Price, this is what I look forward to most in the entire countdown. Not seeing an episode, mind you, but how they're going to handle it. IMHO, it would be awkward for them to just mention it, considering that it's one of the most familiar game shows on the air. If you look at it from a layperson's standpoint (layperson as in "not one of us", but your average TV fan), they're going to think it very odd that an episode of TPiR was not shown. The game show community knows why an episode would not be shown, but not your average fan. So it will be interesting to see how it's handled.
