It's the episode of Newlywed, too.

Luckily my father turned the show off after Kaufman was done.
This signature is currently under construction.

And, part 2, as the "In the [bleep]" episode of Newlywed lands at #9.

The problem with these history lessons is that they're seldom written by historians.

You're right, of course.  Kaufman had already scored with his SNL bits, and had been on Carson several times before this Dating Game appearance.  Heck, if the IMDB listing for this episode is right, Taxi had already premiered.  There might not have been a whole lot of people who knew his name, but a whole lot of people would have recognized him.  He was hardly "unknown".

I watched it first run and as I recall, Taxi had indeed already premiered.

Not everyone is necessarily in agreement about that.
[/quote]

Actually, most everyone is, including TVGuide.

TV Guide only gets to put out their own list, not dictate everyone else's.  They certainly didn't dictate mine.

Anyway,  even though I know it could still happen, I'm still not convinced it's a lock, espcially considering it's GSN's list.

After watching the whole episode of the Dating Game and half of the Newlywed Game, it seems to me that Chuck Barris was laying on the sleaze thick at this point of his productions.

The Newlywed Game could be top ten in some people's book, but I can't see the Dating Game ever making top ten.

Can anyone back me up on this, but I am pretty sure I have seen this episode in full a few times on the Game Show Network before Bob Eubanks made his confession about the incident on MOGSM because I remember the bubbles question.

And I've never seen that TNG episode uncensored on TV at all, because, correct me if I'm wrong, I don't think it EVER has. Anybody that expected otherwise, well...

Appropriate choices tonight, a lot of fans called these. Andy had me rolling on the floor with his act. It's been some time since I've seen that episode, or the Newlywed one as well.

I'm seriously doubting TPIR will be number 1, as time has gone on, I'm thinking J! may have the best shot at it. And BTW, my name should give a slight hint as to my personal preference...

LOL to that.

Anyway here is my review for Night 16:

Dating Game- 77/100
This game looks dumb. It's like Love Connection in a way.

Newlywed Game-88/100
I was very shocked that they didn't even have the answer at all. It was just laughter and then a *ding* for time's up. I would've been fine if it had "In the (cuckoo-cuckoo)".

Going once...Going Twice...No $ale!(What? Wrong Show?) ;)
Night 16 Total-165/200
Average-82.5/100

Umm.. You do realize that these are the original airing copies, and that in '77, it was not commonplace to hear "In the ass" on national television, right? Even if she said butt, toosh, gluteus maximus or hind quarters, that's just too much entendre for '70s daytime TV. Please put a bit of thought into posting. Thank you.
