This I wonder:
What are the odds that members of the staff and management of GSN: The Network For Games are reading this thread and laughing their rumps off?
Audience, vote now.

Depends on what they're laughing at, if they're laughing at the kiddies posting the stupid crap, or the people suggesting that Freakin' Studs is ruining what tenuous grasp they had on any kind of credibility.

First off, in regards to the "they can't greenlight a project such as this and then not show a Price episode."

While I agree they'd look like mucking forons if they did that, I've learned time after time that it's VERY easy of over-estimate the logic level in them TV programming offices.

i.e. #8 -- another show that's way below where I had it (in my e-mail votes to Matt, I had it Price-Jeopardy-Pyramid) but knowing how GSN is running this thing, it's not that far off. I liked seeing the $20K episode with the archaic flip-over score displays and clock and the original version of the theme.

Even though my 'Greatest' vote had Pyramid third, I still think it was the Best game ever on TV. It had everything --  a need for more than just knowledge, celebrities, drama, to name a few.

Agree with you that it was the best tv game ever. It's my number one show, but I had a feeling GSN would stick it in the bottom half of the top 10.

I'm hoping something is really good tonight. It appears to be two half-hour episodes tonight.

Am I off base to assume this is a nighttime syndicated episode?

I'm guessing so...Monty mentions the Big Deal being at over $10,300. From the looks of the cars, I'm guessing c. 1972 or '73?

Cool, thanks. I missed Bil's first intro. :-)

Ep. two is from 1976...anyone know when they added the "LMAD Trading Floor" stuff to the front of that wall behind the trading floor?

I dunno but I loved the "Bicentennial Box."

BTW the Spiegel Catalog cover seen at the end of the first show had a '72 date on it (confirming what Bill Dwyer already said).  Those catalogs are surprisingly helpful in dating game shows, as I found out today watching a late '63/early '64 Queen for a Day ep.

Also, the second ep is from the Super Deal era, with a big win at the end.  PLUS!  No crunched credits tonight!

I really didn't mind that Let's Make a Deal made it into the top 10. Plus I thought it was great to get two episodes, I taped them both from 1972 & 1976 and I agree I liked the box from the second episode with the 76 on it. I give it a 10 overall, plus bonus points for not crunching the credits at the end of both episodes. :)
