Actually, I just thought of this.  GSN could've also broken out Kevin Olmstead's episode if they wanted to.  Or, do they not own that episode?

I am actually shocked that Wheel didn't get an ep....I would have thought they would have done an ep of Wheel and then the Carpenter win for WWTBAM...

Not sure if you watched last week (or saw numerous postings about it here), but Dwyer's comments about half-hour aired shows the rest of the way (starting with PYRAMID at #8) getting double runs would've cinched that two different shows weren't going to be shown tonight or any night over the course of the rest of the countdown.

So, no reason to be shocked.

And to answer Scott's question, GSN does have Olmstead's win (I remember watching it a few months ago).

I find it disappointing that there we no Wheel of Fortune clip, but then again... (expletive)' (show hosted by Mark DeCarlo).

This whole thing's an utter joke. That's just sad.

Millionaire is good, but not THAT good. IMO, other than saving ABC, it hasn't established itself to be a top 10 show. Top 20 maybe, top 25 yes.

I disagree. Sure, I am a bit biased to this show but it deserves to be in the top 5. It ranked up there on the list I sent Matt (it was #2). If ABC better maintained the show it would still be in primetime today.

FTR, Wheel ranked #8 on my list. :)

Thumbs WAY down tonight. If it had been, say an epsiode that WASN'T JUST ON GSN THREE WEEKS AGO, I wouldn't be as sour on this. Just thumbs way down. Oh gee, an hour of Family Feud and Match Game. How exciting.

That seems so, so wrong.  But, YMMV.

Holy crap, that made me ill.  Guess this is the death knell for anyone hoping to see an actual TPIR episode.

Nice little game show network we had once...

And I'll cheerfully belly up for a double order of Gee, This Crow Tastes Terrific(tm), and admit that I apparently greatly underestimated just how utterly insanely out-of-their-minds blisteringly shark-jumpingly stupid GSN could be.

Conversely, I'll be more than happy to do the same if they do air Price or J!. Although it would be a pleasant surprise to see a couple of early half-hour Barker eps. At this point, I feel that Price is more likely to be aired than J!.

Of course, there is always the possibility that Price will be #2, and #1 will be either FF or MG, seeing as it will appear quite clunky to air stills-only from #1.

At least GSN is still good for archiving moderate quality copies of PYL. That's about all I use it for, anymore.

the possibility of Price or Jeopardy being shown is still alive if they decide to segue Match Game as #1 into the  hour of Match that comes directly after the countdown airs.....

The aired shows will be Family Feud and Match Game. Jeopardy will be #4 and Price is Right will be #2, and both will simply be mentioned.

Need some ketchup with that?  That's what I used on my crow tonight after I found out Wheel isn't in the top 5.

Under that setup, and if Wheel, J and Price are the shows not to be shown, I'd expect something like:

6-Wheel
5-Millionaire

4-Jeopardy
3-Feud

2-TPiR
1-Match Game

One down, two to go. (But is that a good thing?)

This comes from many years of learning how the species programus stupidus thinks and comes up with a schedule that defies all common sense and logic.

The only thing this does is make me that much more eager to see the GSF list.

The final week is off...to a standing start with a slight mention of Wheel of Fortune at #6.  Of course, I was prepared for that by checking out Jamie's WoF marathon yesterday so I wasn't worried about that.

As for #5 Millionaire, it's one of those ho-hum episodes for me even though it was the David Goodwim episode.  I switched over to something else after a few minutes.

And then there're 4 left.  The only question is which show will get the double treatment(either FF most likely or MG) next.  After that, we'll see what the GSF's list looks like & how it compares.

Something's very wrong when a six-week countdown spectacular finishes with a resounding thud.
Again, I ask: Why did they even bother?
Stills of WOF for heaven's sake. Lame as lame gets.

That would be an entirely pro move, but that just increases the unlikelihood of it actually happening.
This signature is currently under construction.

Waiter? I'll have what he's having.

Not in a MILLION years would I have imagined that they would have skipped showing an episode of Wheel.
