Isn't MG GSN's biggest ratings booster, though?

Feud is GSN's top rated old show, getting somewhere between a .3 and .4 usually.  Match Game is at .2 just about always.

Then Wheelloon's theory holds a lot more water.  We'll see tonight.

Doug -- and the countdown to 2200 continues (and just three to go to 1000 here)

And, as widely predicted, Price gets only the brief mention.

3 is Feud, and it appears we're starting with an early Dawson ep.

I do not know what to say. :( The Price is Right is #4 - now that is a crime, it only gets the passing mention.

Family Feud is #3 and we get a double shot. I guess we know what #2 and #1 is now.

And it looks to be the one where the question in Fast Money is "Name the time you get up", and the guy answers "morning".

And, he follows that up by saying "night" for "Name the time you go to bed".

::sigh:: I knew we weren't going to get a Price episode, but at least an early Dawson episode is good. Does anyone know what number episode this is (or at least which week)? Is it the first one?

I might have missed it but when Dwyer talked about The Price is Right, Bill Cullen wasn't even mentioned.

Nope, no mention at all. And, also, this episode features the "Name something that come in pairs" question with the lovebirds/bananas/children. I wonder what "Night Bedtime Teabagger" Fred Baedeker is up to these days.

Post #1007 of the thread:

GSN: Gone Sinking Now.

If Match Game is #1...wow.  And it's not as well-known as TPiR.  Wow.
When you're at the grocery game and you hear the beep, think of all the fun you could have at "Crazy Rachel's Checkout Counter!"

Wow.  Ouch.  A network that calls itself "the Network for Games" and counted off the "50 Greatest Game Shows of All Time," and showed us some rarities like last week's double shot of Let's Make a Deal, can't even get one ep each of Wheel of Fortune or The Price is Right?  Yikes, that's just embarrassing.  I don't know if I would show my face if I were involved with something like that.  No wonder they didn't show any clips of this week's shows in their promos, they knew it would make them an even bigger laughingstock.

Of course, we should give them some credit and fairness at least.  So far they haven't yet done anything embarrassingly, droolingly, butt-scratchingly, walking-into-the-wall brain-damaged stupid like...I don't know...come back the next night and not show Jeopardy!?

So here's my question: did they even MENTION why they weren't running an episode? Even offhandedly? Hintingly? Jokingly?

I mean, I stopped taking GSN seriously about this about a month ago ('cuz, you know...ah, nevermind), and maybe I'm giving the channel more credit than they give themselves, but this might be the dumbest thing I've ever seen a television channel do. And I saw Seaquest D.S.V..

Nope, just praised Bob Barker's "star power" and made a state secret out of the Bill Cullen version.
