Shows that will air in season 35 began taping on June 27. Everything taped before that date aired in season 34.
(Well, not everything... shows that taped in the 1970's didn't air in season 34...)

I attended the June 27 taping. Bob told us it would be the second week of shows aired for season 35. I believe he did give a reason for this, but I cannot recall what he told us.
One quick and funny story to tell...
I was lucky enough to be a guest of the show and therefore got to go through the artist's entrance and wait there to be escorted to the studio. It was so exciting...they came up, gave me my name tag and then we all waited for what seemed like forever. I was so afraid that they were going to forget us. Finally, the page came and up the elevator we went to the fabulous Bob Barker studio at CBS in HOLLYWOOD!
I think Rich was just getting ready to do warm up when the page told me..."there, sit in the front row". Like a MORON, I sat in one of the green seats! I was so nervous for some reason. The whole audience was already seated and since they brought me in from where the producer's table is, everyone was looking at me. Everyone started chattering around me, "should he be sitting there?". I realized right away what I'd done and looked behind me. There was my seat, TAPED OFF! I so didn't expect that. I got to sit directly behind contestant's row (and actually IN contestant's row for about 3 seconds). Look for me in the red polo.
I also got the chance to go up on stage after the taping, but damned my luck as all I had was my junky ass cell phone camera. I got a shot of me in front of the doors, but the stage lights were already down, so it didn't come out. As if going up on stage wasn't enough, I got to go backstage as well. Big as life, there was Bob getting ready to leave. Got to shake his hand and say hello before he and his giant basket of wine and cheese was whisked away. ;-D
What an exciting day. This was my first game show taping and I got the rock star treatment. The whole time I was there, I just kept thinking about all the history on that stage. It was truly an awesome experience and a game show fan's dream come true!
