If you have the DVD:

Go to the Extras menu and select "20 Years of Questions and Answers".

Press Down and it should highlight $600.

Press Enter or Play and you'll get a Daily Double graphic, followed by an opening to the first UToC episode, hosted by Alex Trebek in his underwear. He then tries his best to coerce Ken, Brad and Jerome into doing the same.

Also, select Potpourri for $1000 for another Daily Double surprise.

It's an opening from 1999 that features Johnny Gilbert making a mistake that, according to Alex, has never happened in 15 years.

During the opening to the show, Johnny introduces the host of the rehearsal game instead of Alex, with hilarious results.

No lie; it works.

I would be most interested in reading about confirmation of this one.

(Note I didn't say "seeing".)

I rarely do this kind of thing, but I do have extra time today, so I did.

This has come up at least twice previously on this board.  See here and here.

So search is your friend.

Repeating a news item because you tried to make sure it wasn't duplicated, and missed it despite your best efforts, is excusable.  Refusing to make the effort because you didn't think it was necessary is not.  Please make the effort next time.
