Jim Peck ... on the radio
« on: July 25, 2006, 07:01:23 AM »
The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports today that past host Jim Peck now has a show Saturday mornings on WTMJ Radio (AM 620) in Milwaukee.
"Program Director Rick Belcher says Peck is doing a five-hour shift on Saturdays, starting at 6 with two hours of news, then co-hosting the "Mr. Fix It Show at 8, "The Fox World Travel Show" at 9 and "Money Talk With Cindy Storm Fischer" at 10."
Peck says he's always wanted to work in radio but "fell into a TV spot" instead.
This isn't a plug, but you can ask me about my book.

Hey cool....I'm only one degree of separation from Jim Peck because I worked with Rick Belcher at a radio station in Saginaw, MI in 1980.
Let's Make a Deal was the first show to air on Buzzr. 6/1/15 8PM.

And WTMJ streams at www.620wtmj.com (WMP).

Back before "Big Showdown," Jim worked for the sister TV station WTMJ-TV as a talk show host and I believe a morning newscaster.

Now's not a good time to mention I'll be doing Saturday morning radio starting August 5th is it, lol.  Well it's cool to hear Jim's on the radio.

I wonder if Jim will be the expert on staircases on that show?

Then I won't mention that my Saturday morning show will probably be ending with the year. I must catch Jim's show. Sounds like a few different shows in one.

Very cool.  Even though I live in suburban Chicagoland, I can receive WTMJ pretty clearly on my car radio, and it's on one of the presets.  (Primarily for the Brewers, Packers, and U. of Wisconsin, but still...)
