On $ale of the Century, on the show after a contestant retires, since they wouldn't be able to do "So far, [insert name here] has won cash and prizes totalling...", how did they do the introduction?

Went right to the main opening.  No tymp roll or contestant closeup.

I don't think they did, I think they went straight to the drum fill and "Today, on America's Biggest Bargain Sale...." Like they did in the old days before the This Is The Champion pre-open.
