No, but I believe they've announced one for its premiere on their rival, NBC.

I don't think there's been any action on this since it was announced last November, and it was for ABC, not NBC. Regis Philbin was to have been host.

For those of you who'd been on pins and needles over this thing, the 7/31 issue of Broadcasting & Cable reports that Regis' six-month option on his contract has run out and he declined to extend it.  An ABC spokesperson says they might do it anyway without Regis, but it doesn't sound like a priority for them right now.
This has been another installment of Matt Ottinger's Masters of the Obvious.

Can't say I'm shocked, Regis seems to have a very good thing going with Another Network right now.

That was magical. Well played. The only way it could have been improved on would have been to refer to yourself in the third person and only caps the appropriate inflections:

"Regis is SAVING NBC! Regis is only one MAN!"

Just a little suggestion for next time. :)

All three of you are wrong.  Howie Mandel saved NBC...at least until CSI and Grey's Anatomy eat DoND alive on Thursdays, then they'll say Al Michaels saved NBC.

Time for a little Oddsmakers: What are the chances ABC ever goes through with TiYL?  My answer: squadoosh.

What about the Madden guy?  Can't he save NBC, too?  :)

Well, given the kind of season NBC had last year, there's plenty of saving to go around! :-)
