I thought I remembered every set that Concentration ever used. (OK, so I'm pushin' 50.) I remember the original "chessboard" set, in front of which Hugh was pictured in the first shot. I've seen that particular snapshot online before, and I remember watching the show when that was the set.
But in the second picture they used, the set did not look familiar at all.
Its elements were all in the same location as the two final NBC sets -- the logo, the name of the show, the podia, etc. But the backgrounds around the board and in the contestant area were totally different from any I had seen.
It wouldn't have been from a primetime show, because they didn't use the "scrambled" logo until '62 or early '63. The nighttime episodes were on in '61.
Any of you old-timers know where that snapshot came from?
