The focus of a teacher inservice seminar this morning was games in the classroom.  The presenter gave us this link to multiple formats, including Hollywood Squares, Concentration, and The Weakest Link.  They're nowhere near as flashy as Particleman's Feud or some other PowerPoints out there.  I thought some people might be interested in these renditions.

I put together "Family Feud", "Match Game" and "Scrabble" PowerPoint presentations that I use as icebreakers and/or 'bring everyone back together' activities. I don't have any webspace to host them on, but if anyone wants them, email me and I'd be happy to zip them up and send them on.

If you're a teacher or a trainer that works with adults, people LOVE them and it's a great way to re-engage a group after a break or after lunch. They were developed in PowerPoint 2002 and should be backward compatible with PowerPoint 97 and above.

They're not super fancy, but I got a little nerdy with them. The "Match Game" one actually turned out quite nicely. I did the whole opening sequence and set the timings to reveal the celebs in time with the sound clip. I even did polls around the office to get my Super Match choices. I have to admit that it was fun to be able to integrate game shows into my job! :)

In my honours specialist class this summer, my partner and I presented a strategy entitled "game shows in the classroom" - it was a big hit and we've been asked to present at a conference.
