Same here. I loved the fact that he said, "Sit down, sit down, we're running late..." as if he was producing the show.
He's not going to do anything heavy duty again on-camera, but if he wants to continue to do "Rockin' Eve" and make a token appearance, have at it. It's in good hands with Seacrest, but having him around, if even for just at midnight, won't hurt, barring a relapse.
