A few minutes ago, I setup my TiVo to record the new shows of Family Feud (now on My PHL 17 [WPHL]).  When I looked at the upcoming episodes that will be airing, I thought it's too good to be true.

Then I looked at it on Zap2It.com (type in 08109) and it confirmed what I saw on TiVo.

Right now, the new season of Feud on WPHL will air on Sunday, September 17th with six-straight episodes starting at 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m.  (Or as they say, a hex-run???  With relation to double-run, triple-run, quad-run, etc.)

It'll be the first Feud on WPHL since stealing it from WCAU back in September 2000 and ran till former-indie WGTW 48 snached it after the season ended.

Oh well, I'll stick to WFMZ 69 (Double-run weeknights 8-9 p.m.)

Actually, if you're just abbreviating the term for multiplying by that number, it'd be a sex-run.

As long as it doesn't effect the triple run of Mr. "You Are Not the Father", all is good.

I believe you mean 9-10pm.

Yes he does. Except for Mondays, when only the first run airs. Local shows pre-empt the second run of Feud on Monday nights. Viva la "Wood Heat," which they haven't produced a new edition of since about 1993. Or at least since I worked there.

What I'm curious about, is if channel 69 airs the show in first run only on Mondays at 9:30pm, the rest of the week, is it the 9pm or 9:30pm showing that is the first run episode?

9:30 is always the first run, preceded by the second run show on Tue-Fri.

That'll work. I guess I'll too be sticking with the ole WFMZ. That, and there's nothing like watching TV with a big "69" logo in the corner. :)

Is their slogan "For great TV, everyone loves 69!"?  :)

You haven't lived until you've driven a car around the mean streets of Allentown and the surrounding areas with a bigass "69" logo on the hood and doors...

Sure... I leave the station 7 years ago and NOW they get Feud! Although when I was there, I do remember talking the program/news director out of picking up the Michael Burger 'Match Game'.

I remember actually taping a "new" edition of 'Wood Heat' while I worked there. We had a real live working fireplace going too. And when we were done, we had a real live gas line with no cap filling the studio with gas. I remember someone wanting to light a match or something... needless to say I walked to the far end of the building waiting for the big bang.

OT: Does FMZ still run those local classics on Mondays? By classics, I mean: 'Call The Doctor', 'Morning Call Sports Report', 'Lehigh U Sports Report', and everybody's favorite 'Law Journal'? I hated working there on Mondays.

The Morning Call Sports Report is the only one that isn't on any more. Call The Doctor has been renamed Talk With Your Doctor. Lehigh's show is still on, and yes, so is Law Journal.

And even farther off topic, if you think Allentown's streets are mean, try Reading's.
