Personally, I prefer Randy. Johnny Gilbert, IMO, is more suited for Jeopardy, or a game of J's nature. Randy's voice best suits SS, i think.

Opinions?

Randy. If I say you were the best announcer on \"SS\". Will you say: \"Joe Raygor, Come on down ! You're the next contestant on The Price is Right !\" ?

Seriously, I say they're both equally good.

I hope nobody is going to raise Ruckus. Let it stay dead :-D

In all seriousness, what a loaded question this is.

Randy did a much better job of announcing Supermarket Sweep than Gene Wood ever did, yessiree Bob.

Gene Wood?  That's like saying Charlie O'Donnell announced \"Twenty-One.\"

My vote goes to Mr. West.. for not just the SS
game show.. but for whichever game show is
in need of a GOOD announcer!

I think Randy has a VERY enjoyable, easy, and
\"fun to listen to\" voice. He's the kinda announcer
that \"makes you feel at home\" when you're listening to
him.

I'd liken it to ice cream. Some days I want chocolate, other days I want strawberry. It doesn't mean one is better than the other.

I'll leave it to you to decide which one is the chocolate and which one is strawberry.

(This metaphor works equally well in french vanilla and rocky road versions)

That said, you'd have to be a pretty big twit to ask people what they thought of Peanut Butter & Chocolate when Mr. Reese is in the room, know what I mean?

Johnny West is actually a disc jockey on the legendary (and fictional) WVWA, known affectionately to its audience simply as \"NINE!\".

Click and hear the celebrated story of \"NINE!\" from 1974, and the behind-the-scenes insanity of it's FM sister \"NINETY NINE!\" created 25 years later. If you don't find pant-wetting amusement in these spoofs from a game show announcer and his oldest, most whacked friends, your name will be called to \"come on down\" at the next tape date of TPIR........ (in rehearsal only).

The original \"NINE!\" is at the bottom of this link which primarily celebrates the silver anniversary creation of \"NINETY NINE!\"  A little OT? It will be forgotten with your second laugh         ;-)

But Randy, you dodged the question.  Who is the better Market Sweep announcer?
Let's Make a Deal was the first show to air on Buzzr. 6/1/15 8PM.

Seeming how it's so rare that I don't shoot off my mouth with something that I later regret, I was actually enjoying my silence  ;-)
