I'm reading this book for the first time this weekend, and I noticed something interesting.
In his alleged account of his involvement in the march to Montgomery, Alabama with Dr. Martin Luther King, Chuck Barris meets a man named Frank Surrocco, who enlists his help delivering portable outhouses to the site of the march.
By sheer coincidence, I was watching the Chuck Barris-produced CopOut! pilot that same day, and the male contestant was named Frank Surrocco.
All I can figure is that he used Frank's name without fear of being caught, since CopOut wasn't meant to be seen by anyone but execs.
If I am indeed right in my assumption, it would also bring to light the credibility of the entire story (at least in my mind).
There may be another reason, or it may indeed be the same person, but then again, I don't believe Chuckie was a CIA operative, either.
Anyway, I just thought it was interesting.
