What's the deal with GSN and the Nancy Lane/Robert Reed week of "Password Plus"? After skipping it at least three times during different cycles, they finally showed the first two episodes last week...only to skip the remaining three and jump to the Judy Norton-Taylor/Ron Masak week today. There shouldn't be any clearance issues; Nancy and Robert have both been shown on different games on the network. Any speculation?
While I'm on the subject, I saw some (in my opinion) bogus calls last week on those two days. In one instance, they accepted the contestant's answer of "bath" for the password BATHTUB. These are two completely different words; "bath" is not a form of "bathtub." In another instance, the contestant answered "Edward Kennedy" when the password was EDWARD. Allen Ludden asked the contestant what his answer was, and the contestant replied, "Edward," which the judge accepted. The way I see it, if they were going to have two-word passwords on the show (which is a totally separate gripe for me), then they have to accept "Edward Kennedy" as his answer, not "Edward." I know that there was no word authority on the show, but these seem like obvious errors in judgment to me. Anyone else think so?
Man, times like these, it would be great if one of our moderators used to work on "Password Plus"...
