You know more about the world of quiz bowl than I do (actually, it's been specifically proven that you know more about a great deal of stuff than I do...) but the phrase I always associate with College Bowl is "You're playing for a 25 point bonus question, here's your tossup."  Or, if you needed something shorter, just "Here's your toss-up."  Frankly, though, that's going to be a pretty obscure one no matter what you use.

Here's a couple I thought of.

"Next time you're at a checkout counter and you hear the beep — [beep beep] — think of the fun you could have on Supermarket Sweep!"

And if you want to stretch the term game show by a bit, you could use "The tribe has spoken" from Survivor. It certainly has entered the world of pop culture.

I'd tend to take your word on this, since I've only seen tapes of that show a handful of times, and it was a while ago.  Other takes on most familiar GE College Bowl host-speak?

Dumb Dora: lost out to "match the stars."  Also, not a catchphrase so much as a template.
"Whoopee": again, not really a catchphrase.  (As I have self-defined it.) :)
But I might buy the "chosen especially for you thing" for TNG.  What's the definitive phrasing?

Okay, I think we're getting a little desperate here....do we honestly think the american public remembers "Face the Music" or "Dream House"? And squares had better more recognizable catch phrases than some hack delivering "Pack your bags" every day because he couldn't ad-lib anything else.

To me, a good catch phrase incorporates the essence of the show, if not, the title of the show. To wit:

"The password is....."
"I can Name That Tune in _ Notes"
"Would you like to be queen for a day?"

and for my favorite, see my signature.....

The even more appropriate "T or C" catch phrase, since it encompasses the entire life of the series (Barker only used the "may all your consequences..." signoff:

"You didn't tell the truth, so you must pay the consequences."

"Circle gets the square!" (already mentioned)
"X gets the square!"
"And that's the Secret Square!"
"Charley Weaver to block..."  (or Paul Lynde or George  Gobel)
"The rest of us play a game called the Hollywood Squares." (closing, after a number of plugs for TV shows, club appearances, etc.)

Many one-time lines get quoted alot, like Paul's "Hell's Angels" and "dual-purpose cattle" zingers.  I consider those Seinfeld lines because they were used exactly once and still get a lot of play.

Off-topic, but on Dixon's site I came across a George Gobel zinger I hadn't seen before and I'm still laughing about it a week later.

PM: George, according to weather records, what is the wettest place on earth?
GG: The parking lot at Busch Gardens.

If you're going to go with that at all.
