TPIR reference in Sunday's "Pickles" comic strip

I'm surprised no one has posted this already, but yesterday's Pickles comic strip had a TPIR-related storyline.  Here is a URL with the strip:

Not that I would've posted, but I'm not even aware of a newspaper in my area that carries the strip.

And it doesn't seem I'm missing much.  Give me "Pearls Before Swine" any day.

I get the strip in my local paper on Sundays only.

Than "Pearls"?  Or "Pickles"?

Even Darby Conley sings "Pearls"'s praises.

Both.

(IIRC, Conley also helped out Stephan Pastis of "Pearls" when he was first starting out with the strip. But Get Fuzzy is still better.)

You do recall correctly.  I like "Pearls" better, but "Get Fuzzy" is good too.

No, see, I'm one post away from 2300.  I'm 101 away from 2400.  As far as I'm concerned, that's counting down to each milestone post.

You really want to throw water on a bit that's been killing since we moved from ATGS to EZBoard (and now to Invision) in the mid-1950s?

Yeah, you're right.

It actually didn't catch on until 1975.  ;-)
