Sara Evans leaves "Dancing With The Stars"
« on: October 14, 2006, 06:56:03 PM »
Well, since Sara Evans left Dancing With the Stars, the competition would be over a week early. However, we all know that ABC isn't going to let that happen. Now, when American Idol ran into a similar situation a few years back, I remember them leading us to believe that someone would still be eliminated, only to tell us at the end of the results show that everybody was safe. On the other hand, during a Real World/Road Rules Challenge a few years ago, they brought back the last player who was eliminated.

What do you guys think will DWTS do to fill the void?

Fact To Make You Feel Old: Just about every contestant who appears in a Price is Right Teen Week episode from here on out has only known a world where Drew Carey has been the host.

End early, and air Second Chance/Password '70's to fill that hour.

But seriously, I'd assume they'd do a non-elimination show, unfortunately.

When you're at the grocery game and you hear the beep, think of all the fun you could have at "Crazy Rachel's Checkout Counter!"

Or maybe they pull a Romeo and find someone to replace her?

When did this come about? I watched last week's show and I saw no indication of Evans wanting to quit the competition or looking depressed/flustered.

It hit the news Friday morning.

Like, say, Willa Ford (eliminated most recently)?  That's a possiblity. I would.

Or, they could somehow do a web poll and put some famous celebrities, and leave it up to America. (If they did that, I hope they put Paris Hilton or Sarah Jessica Parker on there. Sorry if I'm acting like a moron right now.)

Considering the rumors that Willa Ford is doing some... er, extracurricular dancing with her partner, I'm sure ABC would agree to that in a hurry.

That would seem to be the most expeditious move--if someone eliminates themselves for whatever reason after the telecast, the results of the week's telecast are null and void and the eliminated contestant returns for the next telecast.

Be sure to tune into ABC tomorrow night at around 8:03 p.m. for the new tap-dancing team of Bergeron and Harris.
