Good thing Geraldo isn't being considered for Deal or No Deal.  At the end of the game, he'd open up the contestant's case, and there'd be nothing in there...  :)

Digging this one out of mothballs for some important info...

At the end of this video, Tom Bergeron makes an announcement....

...also known as he will host a week of "Millionaire".
When you're at the grocery game and you hear the beep, think of all the fun you could have at "Crazy Rachel's Checkout Counter!"

Now, now, Matt. Let's be fair here...

It was four posts above his, not three.

IMHO Tom Bergeron is an excellent choice as a substitute host. I look forward to watching his week of shows.

They could acutally do a theme type thing, TV's greatest hosts fill in for Meredith...

How about Ben Stein for a week?  Wink Martindale?  Peter Marshall?

Ben -- Too serious for the show.

Wink -- Out of the three, the best chance -- but a very dark horse.

Peter -- Has Pete ever done a show *without* celebs?

Bergeron is not a bad choice at all.

First off, I apologize for posting the link again without checking.

Second, with Bergeron hosting, wouldn't this give us a good look at how he would host without celebs for something like TPiR?  I know that TPiR and Millionaire are two different breeds of game show animal, but wouldn't this show how he can interact with just a player/contestant?

Well, I did hear that they were going to add a new lifeline, "Ask Martin Mull", so no, this wouldn't apply.

Wow.
