Bergeron wouldn't be taping shows until he's clear of his "Dancing With The Stars" commitment. However, I do know that Meredith is taping shows this week. She's also taping a Conan O'Brien this week which I think is her first appearance on that show since joining the NBC family.

Bergeron's a good choice.  He's also based on the East Coast, which may be a minor factor.

I can't see Regis being involved unless Live and Millionaire don't run against each other... well, anywhere.

Where would it? Does Millionaire really run at 9:00a in some markets?

Well, but Live isn't shown at 9 AM in all markets. (Even in the East--there's one station in my area that airs it at 10.)

To name the markets would be a little Zachy, but yes there are some markets that run the show at 9:00 a.m. local time, either as their sole broadcast or as the double-run show.

I'm sure there's more than one, but the only one that comes to mind for me is WBAL from Baltimore - being an NBC affiliate, they run "Today" until 10am and then "Regis and Kelly".

In Cincinnati, WKRC 12 runs Millionaire at 9:00am, followed by the Feud at 9:30am. Meanwhile on WCPO 9, Regis and Kelly runs at 9:00am.

Thought I'd beat him to the punch.

Probably won't matter. He tends to not read what's posted previously in a thread.

Bergeron's a good choice.[/quote]
Having attended the noon tapings today, which Bergeron hosted (his first 3), I'll agree with that statement. I felt that for his first time hosting the show (though he mentioned doing rehearsals yesterday), he did a good job. He added more humor to the show than Meredith (which was a nice change of pace) and had nice interaction with the contestants. One complaint I did have, though, was his reading of the 4 choices - at times, he seemed to pause (longer than normal) between words. But overall, I think he was a worthy substitute for Meredith. And I enjoyed the taping, my first (although I would have enjoyed it more had I passed the audition test).

BTW, the shows taped in the noon session today will air M-W 6/25-27 (I'm guessing the Th, F eps were taped in the later session).

6? June? They're taping six months in advance?

Yeah - according to what we were told, they're airing that week in June.

A friend of mine just got back from New York where she attended a taping that Al Roker was hosting.  She had high praise for the weatherman, said the shows sped along in pretty much real time, and also mentioned that they wouldn't air until June.
This has been another installment of Matt Ottinger's Masters of the Obvious.
Stay tuned for all the obsessive-compulsive fun of Words Have Meanings.
