I call speculation on this as being "daytime," as the syndicated pilot was supposed to be shot around this time.

I'm trying to edit that article, but for some reason Wordpress is going slow.  I'm meaning to type that the breaking news is the fact that Daytime DoND is taping on Monday, and that the lack of any indication of syndication or daytime is just a rumor.  Apparently Wordpress needs to warm up for 5 hours before I type anything.

Random thought: Let's say hypothetically, it was 1975.  There's news of a weekly nighttime version of Match Game in the works.  How many of us would think that it's for prime time?  This is more or less the same animal.

But in 1975, there were several weekly nighttime versions of popular daytime game shows, usually checkerboarded in prime access. Off the top of my head, HSq, Deal, Pyramid, Price, Name That Tune, and then Dealer's Choice and Treasure Hunt...doesn't seem to have caused any confusion there, esp. since primetime games were pretty much out of vogue.

In 75, there had to be something off-the-wall quirky about a game show to make it to a network primetime berth.  Hence, "Almost Anything Goes," which was structured more like today's casino shows or televised sports than a game show.

We did get IGAS in primetime in 76, though.

I'm not sure DoND will work in syndication or network daytime.  Is Arsenio planning to shave his head?
Let's Make a Deal was the first show to air on Buzzr. 6/1/15 8PM.

Arsenio huh? I could see that working, provided it doesn't take 10 minutes for the announcer to shout out Arsenio's name, or for Arsenio to reveal the bank offer... ;)

I think DoND could work on daytime or syndication very well, but whichever occurs, I think NBC should very SERIOUSLY consider dropping the primetime to once a week, if the show goes through. Having it air 6 times a week is enough, and 7 or even 8 will run it all into the ground sooner rather than later...

That said, having a full hour NBC is trying to get back in the morning, I don't believe DoND should take up that entire hour. One person's comment I read, said something about the Temptation pilot, in the works, being a possible companion for Deal, which I also would support. However, my personal preference (and definitely fantasy preference) would be for NBC to actually go out and USE those formatting rights to Concentration they've been holding onto for seemingly eons now, instead of letting it collect more cobwebs!!

This complicates things.  AZNightBuzz.com, some relatively smaller news site assuming for Arizona,

"NBC plans to air “Deal or No Deal” and the new game show “1 vs. 100” five days a week at 7. “My Name is Earl” and “The Office” stay where they are on Thursday. But like everything in TV, that could change."

I'm trying to get ahold of NBC and this place on Monday to find out what the hell is going on.

Since the thing has to fit in a half-hour, it's likely they will a) speed up the process, and b) do away with the actor doing the Banker thing. Which means that may well be how he got the job.

Both five days a week in the same time slot?  So...is there going to be a split-screen, or are we talking "The Deal or No Deal/1 vs. 100 Hour," in which halfway through, 73 boxes slide on stage so that 73 people can join Howie and the models to form the mob?

And I'm guessing (more like hoping) that they'll drop the dog-and-pony gimmicks, not because I find them lame, but in the interest of time. I think you can get a game-and-a-half into a half hour, if the gimmicks go.

Then again, drawing out the show with gimmicks means less money given away. Production companies like that. ;-)

Ya know...I'm going to get WHOOSH(ed) for this...but...

This actually sounds like a really cool idea.  But then, after thinking about it, Saget would have to be a case model, so no thank you.

/slight sarcasm to above

...and to Alex's statement about "at 7"...I thought that was prime-access for stations, that lead-up time to the network's prime time programming slot.  How on earth (and why??) would they take that back?  I know the Indianapolis NBC affiliate airs Wheel and Jeopardy during that slot...wouldn't there be a problem there somewhere??

In Tuscon, 7pm is the first hour of network prime time.  This is just a poorly worded reference to NBC's announcement last week that only reality shows and game shows would air in their first prime time hour (8pm in most of the country).  It has nothing to do with any syndicated possibilities.
