Vintage Patrick Wayne sighting
« on: October 25, 2006, 04:05:03 PM »
TCM is airing the John Wayne movie The Alamo tonight (Wednesday, October 25) at 8:00 PM ET.  John's son Patrick, who many of you may remember (even if you'd rather forget it!) for hosting Tic Tac Dough, has a role as Capt. Bonham.

Patrick Wayne isn't the only game show personality to make a movie appearance tonight.  A very young Bart Braverman, who would go on to become an infrequent panellist on Match Game 7x can be seen in 20 Million Miles to Earth, at 2:35 AM October 26 on Encore Action.  (If memory serves, Bart's part is as the kid who finds the stuff from the spacecraft, but it's been quite a while since I've seen the movie.)  The movie is pretty poor -- spacemen returning from Venus have brought back an alien that quickly grows into a Godzilla-like creature that destroys a good portion of southern Italy.  But it's got Ray Harryhausen's stop-motion work, which is worth seeing even if you have to put up with the rest of the dreck.

Those of you outside the Eastern Time Zone may want to check your local listings.
