Someone made a complaint "I saw the models walk down the steps SIX FRIGGIN TIMES!".. yeah, look at the opening sequence.. last time I checked, cameras aren't INVISIBLE

I can sympathize elsewhere, but why not just dump the way this is shot and have it done with a crane/jib? Start wide and move in as the models come down the stairs ending with the closest shot once they get into position? If may require a stopdown to move whatever camera you use into place, but considering they redo the thing with new angles several times currently as you said, this method is like a speed bump compared to that.

And in DiPirro's defense, he does do "Lingo" cleanly, if not particularly with inspiration.  And I would assume that arguments over whether words are actually in the dictionary aside, budgetary concerns would pretty much dictate that they crank those puppies out at a five-show per day pace.  It helps there that they don't have to ship in an audience or several audiences and have a warmup guy to try to keep them amused--although Chuck could tell the audience fishing stories and Shandi could just--stand there.

Shandi could offer then $50 for guessing guessing what letter fills in the word C*TS.

There are a lot worse things I could be looking at than the legs of the DOND models as they make six trips down the steps.

Actually.. Brian enjoys directing LIVE shows better than taped ones.. then the editors don't have a chance to F*** up his work ;)

So then is it Scott St. John who oversees the editors? :-P
