Chicago Tribune Article

This morning's Chicago Tribune has an article on game show hosts and a "10 best" list.  Like most articles by Julia Keller, the Tribune's "cultural critic," it's frustratingly superficial, as is her ranking (Groucho higher than Cullen?  Marshall higher than Rayburn?).  You'll find the story online here:

They're also running a poll for best game show ever; they're taking e-mails at ctc-tempo@tribune.com or chicagotribune.com/gameshows.

Hmmm...Richard Dawson as Worst. Host. Ever.

Somebody send this woman a tape of Patrick Wayne, stat!

Obviously, this is a woman who feels she's slumming with the masses and desperately needs to have the dowel removed from her posterior.

Oh, and the list of games you can vote for (they also allow you to comment and include others:)
"The Price Is Right"
"Who Wants to Be a Millionaire"
"Deal, or No Deal"
"Jeopardy"
"Let's Make a Deal"
"Hollywood Squares"
"Wheel of Fortune"
"The Dating Game"

I'm surprised they didn't include, y'know, Freakin' Studs.

<Smacks forehead>

Why didn't we think of doing something like that?

Point them to Page 'O Clips and watch our friend Blake Emmons.

Now, I've never seen TTD '90...
When you're at the grocery game and you hear the beep, think of all the fun you could have at "Crazy Rachel's Checkout Counter!"

You're lucky. Although personally, I always found the music the most grating thing about the show...

No need to. Ask them if they have GSN, and tell them to watch THAT version of "Chain Reaction".
There are three things I've learned never to discuss with people: Religion, politics, and the proper wrapping of microphone cables.
