What were some game shows that you felt got pulled too soon and should have lasted longer. I think one is Break The Bank on ABC in 1976 which got pulled after 15 weeks to make way for expanded soaps, also Chain Reaction 1980 with Bill Cullen was pretty good from what I've seen but they pulled it to make way for Letterman's failed daytime talk show.

BtB is most definitely a show that should have lasted longer and is a favorite show of quite a few people. It's not one of mine, but I most definitely agree it should have lasted longer.

IMHO, one show that I think should have lasted longer is "Whew!".  I have very vague memories of the show when it originally aired (I was between 4 and 5 years old), but in getting to see it years later, I really enjoyed the game.

I'd agree with BtB, but if it had not gone off, who would have hosted "50 Grand Slam" :).

Two Jim Peck shows I would have liked to see last a little longer were "The Big Showdown" and "Second Chance," though PYL fullfilled the latter's promise. (Did the animations and change of host make that much difference?  I thought both shows were good.)

From the '60's I would have liked "Let's Play Post Office" and "Call My Bluff" to have lasted longer.
Let's Make a Deal was the first show to air on Buzzr. 6/1/15 8PM.

I wish that 'H2' Squares could have lasted another season or two.

I think most of the forum would have liked to see "Whew!" have a longer run.

If you didn’t create it, it isn’t your content.

Also, I would have liked to have seen Tom Kennedy's nighttime Price Is Right get another year as he did a good job, but the show had poor clearances. From what I understand, New York City had it on at 2 am and where I grew up no Chicago station picked it up although I was able to catch it on cable from a Rockford station.

Whew was another good game show, but whoever was in charge if CBS daytime felt they needed more sitcom reruns as for a year and a half they were down to only Price Is Right.

From what I've seen of Child's Play I would put that one on my own list.

Others:

The Generation Gap
Celebrity Sweepstakes
High Rollers
I've Got a Secret
(1976 revival)

All I'm going by is that its replacement was reruns of Alice. I'm just saying since that hour and 4 pm had sitcom reruns added in place of game shows that that was the programmer's choice of programming. Ok, I should have said that he must have wanted more sitcom reruns.I will be more careful how I word things.
