Being different is all fine and good, but think about if the difference really has a point, or if it's just obstinacy. (Paging Dr. Goodwin, Dr. Reason A. Goodwin to the white courtesy phone...) Obstinance, stubbornness, laziness or whatever else, it's just silly. If your "being different" affects other people negatively, then you ought to join up with the majority, they must be doing something right.
