How long did the show air ?

Did Tomarken like the show ?

How long could you be a contestant ?

Wipeout aired one season in syndication from 9/12/88-9/8/89, and on USA reruns from 9/11/89-9/13/91. Peter liked the show and was an assistant producer on it.

Originally, players only stayed on one show, and after about two months in the run, they started having returning champions, who played until they either were defeated or won the car in the bonus round.

Wipeout was a fun show. It was from Dames/Fraser Productions, and Tomarken was actually the show's producer. It was part of that group of games that glutted up the 1988-1989 season (including such other one-season wonders as \"The Gong Show\", \"Sweethearts\", and \"Relatively Speaking\").
