He was also emotional in his Newlywed Game 1974 finale.  He couldn't even finish his speech to the audience at the end of the show.

Richard Dawson, Family Feud.
"They're both Norman Jewison movies, Troy, but we did think of one Jew more famous than Tevye."

Now celebrating his 22nd season on GSF!

I'd count Ray Combs, Family Feud, but not in the positive sense.

Best line in that show came from Betty White .... "This is my fifth 'last Password'. " She surely thought that the game was going to make another comeback but, alas, we're still waiting.

The good news is, Betty's still around.

Would Jackie Gleason's half-hour exit on "You're In The Picture" be an "emotional farewell?"

Jack Narz on the last Seven Keys talked enthusiasticly about his next job. He then grabbed a broom and swept the studio during the closing credits.

Jim Peck on his last $otC stepped aside and let the crew have the wave goodbye during the closing credits.

I know who you really mean, of course, but I find it interesting that he did the exact same thing 8 years earlier on the "Card Sharks" finale.  He got pretty teary-eyed towards the end, too...

You mean Jim *Perry*.

(Although the more I think of it, Jim Peck would've made one helluva SotC host!!!)

/If Jim Perry's daughter Erin would've married a man named Winkle, she would then be known as....

...wait for it...
