Christmas Night "DOND" and "1V100"...
« on: December 14, 2006, 04:53:20 PM »
NBC PR posted at Futon Critic gives details without spoilage of the Christmas night editions of "DOND" and "1V100"--and as someone on the group guessed, the "Partridge in a Pear Tree" in the Mob depiction of "The Twelve Days of Christmas" is the host of "Starface":

Plus the "DOND" models won't be shown up by the Million Dollar Dancers.

At least 1vs100 is going all out.

Should I be leery of ice cream men on game shows or was that an isolated incident?  ;)

Sounds like my Christmas plans are booked starting at 5 PM ET with my Eagkes @ Dallas, followed by DoND & 1vs100.  Quite a day for me indeed.

I'm wondering what the DoND set would look like in Christmas mode.  Probably not as elaborate as TPIR's set this comming week.  And how in the heck does "Big Bird" figure into this?  I don't see a holiday connection there.

1vs100 sure will be fun to check out.  The only thing that bugs me is why they associate 5 boxers in the Mob.  I was hoping for 5 engaged couples to represent the 5 gold rings.  The others I can understand.  Danny Bonnaducie I can do without after that train wreck that was Starface yeeesh!

Further proof that the NBC publicity department has a hard time with the definiton of "surprise".

Why? Why? WHY? Why do those freakin' peaCOCKS have to keep spilling their beans?
Who is the crackhead in that office that believes we want these things told to us before the show comes on?
In the mid-1980s, I remember a promotional spot for Super Password where we saw the champion winning $35000 in The End Game while a staff announcer told us, "This week on Super Password, you'll see someone win big in the bonus round!!!"
We're already seeing it, buttmunch. Guess there's no need to watch that show, is there? Pudwhackers.

That's evidently a reference to boxing rings.  And might these be Golden Gloves contenders as well?

Boxing is a curious sport.  Two grown men get into a ring to fight over a purse.
Let's Make a Deal was the first show to air on Buzzr. 6/1/15 8PM.

That would be my guess.  That way they've covered the "Golden" and the "Rings", and given Saget a chance to do one of his patented apologies for a bad joke.

Hey, football (to paraphrase an old Life of Riley) is a battle between 22 young men over ten yards of territory that actually belongs to the city.

And golf is a silly game too -- Why do people pay $25 dollars to hit a little white ball into the woods, spend 15 minutes looking for it and bring it back to the fairway only to hit it into the woods again!

Jimmy Carr joke: Why can't boxers have sex before a fight?  They don't fancy each other.
