Subjects used in the WC of $100,000/25,000 Pyramid
« on: December 24, 2006, 03:35:43 AM »
Hello all:

It's been ages since I started a new topic myself; I tried to use the search function to see if this has already been asked, but error messages kept coming up.

I am trying to host a little Pyramid game here with my friends, and I am trying to find a website/log of all the Winner's Circle subjects that were used during the run of the show(s).  Can anyone point me in the right direction?   I was hoping someone might have logged them all by "approximate" value (read: "Perplexing Things" would be higher on the list than "Christmas Things") but I'd be happy at this point with anything.  I would just watch the Pyramid itself on GSN, but some of the people who are going to be in this watch the Pyramid reruns too, so I don't want it to be anything recent.   :-D

Any Pyramid info floating around on the Web that I can't find out there?  :-)

BTW, nice to "see" you all again.

Thanks,
Brent Wolgamott

Doesn't exist, so far as I know. (If it does, I would love to know.) When I was compiling Pyramid material, I just Tivoed each day's show and transcribed it. So I'm sitting on about 80 Winner's Circles and nothing to do with them. (Todd, you reading? ;))

There was a thread a while back that had Invisioners submitting potential tournament categories, if that's of any interest to you. Lemme see if I can find it...

Wow, thank you for that.  Some insanely difficult categories, but given that some of these people are game show addicts, they should have no problem with Things That Are Perceived.  :-)

Wow!  That IS the *definitive* clue!

Do you happen to know the definitive clue for "Things That Are Scarce"?  :-D

Natural resources. Fossil fuels. Ethiopian food.

(Yeah, the last one is a little tasteless, but P.C. goes out the window when $25,000 is on the line.)

Still not the "definitive" clue I was looking for, but all very good clues, and all would likely earn a correct response.

There's a phrase that hooks the word into it.  Dick Clark used it one time as a "help after the WC" clue, and I actually know it, but I am from Kentucky, so.....  :-)

I'll let Whoserman (or whoever) guess before revealing it.

Wait, so that wasn't a request for information, that was supposed to be a "fun trivia question?"

Oh, boy.

Um, if it would "likely earn a correct response", then it's pretty damned definitive.

I'd go with "hen's teeth."

Oh, gosh.  I'm so sorry.  That's not what I was asking.  It was a request for info; but he impressed me with the clue for Things that Are Perceived that I asked another one.  It was all in fun, man.  That's all.  I was being cool; I'm just a nice, friendly poster.

THAT was the response I was looking for.  "As scarce as hen's teeth" -- I've heard it since I was in church at 6 years old.  Old bitties would say it all the time.
