Someone voted "the Fun House announcers" as the greatest ever when they COULDN'T EVEN REMEMBER THEIR NAMES?
[/quote]
There. That's better.

I was giving the voter the benefit of the doubt and the right to their own opinion. But, really, find out WHO THE HELL THEY ARE first, ya know?

You're right that everyone has a right to their opinion, I guess I should have given more befefid of the doubt, so for that I do appologise. But they still gave one vote to a "they."

Yes, The current announcer of The Price is Right is tied with the guy who announced on Toffler's Finders Keepers...

I assume you mean you're surprised he didn't rank higher.  Have to be honest, he didn't even occur to me when I thought of "announcers".  Of course that's what he was, but my brain has him in the "sidekick" role.

Show me some decent names above him, and I'll be even less surprised he didn't crack the top 20.
This has been another installment of Matt Ottinger's Masters of the Obvious.
Stay tuned for all the obsessive-compulsive fun of Words Have Meanings.

Not really relevant to anything, but the instant I saw that line, iTunes' shuffle setting started playing the 1986 HS theme...

By the way, why did you make a Bed, Bath and Beyond run following that moment from The Office? I may be the only one in the forum who doesn't get that.

Because he saw a game show reference on a mainstream TV show, and therefore needed TWO TOWELS...

The BBB thing is a forum inside joke referring to needing towels anytime you see something on the forum that is uhhhh, highly satisfying (use your own imagination). The quote from "The Office" refers to posting every single game show reference, no matter how big or small.

I'm sure you of all folks, know what game the "Circle gets the square" quote is from. ;-)

/Two more reasons "The Office" sends me to BBB:
//Jenna Fischer...mmm
///Rashida Jones...mmmmm

Was that the only announcing job Jack ever had?
Certainly not outside of game shows. Jack Narz performed various announcing duties at the station which is now my employer, channel 13 in Los Angeles. He was the announcer on the Don Fedderson production "Life with Elizabeth" starring a young lass named Betty White.

I have a discount-rack DVD of that series (inexplicably labelled as the 1977 "Betty White Show") from its national syndication days and Narz is in that too.  In fact he introduces each segment on camera.  The three episodes on the disc, I believe, are from 1952-53.

I have a VHS tape from several years ago of Betty White's "Date with the Angels" from 1957-58..The Christmas episode..Tom Kennedy is the announcer.  To tell you how long ago I got this tape..I believe I paid $4.99 for it (One episode)  Today similar vintage shows up to  10 or more on a DVD can be had for $1.00.  The show is very similar to "Life with Elizabeth" except it's a half hour sitcom (not 3 segments)

And who could forget that Jack Narz was also the off camera voice of "Space Patrol"? He was all over that show.

/Say, how many votes did That Guy Who Announced "Figure It Out" get, anyway?

The same amount Rich Jeffries and Dee Baker got, which shouldn't be too hard to figure out. :P
