"Fishing With Rod Roddy"...

First there was the Price is Right video slot machine featuring Cliff Hangers...

Then there was the Price Is Right video slot machine featuring Pl!nko...

Then there was the Price Is Right video slot machine featuring Dice Game...

Then there was the Price Is Right video slot machine featuring Punch-A-Bunch...

With well over 60 other pricing games to choose from, here is The Newest TPIR Video Slot

I played this version yesterday.  It's gotta be the most confusing slots game I have ever played!  Needless to say, if you are familiar with the other games, the same cartooned contestants on the wheels are now all wearing fishing outfits, Rod is sitting in a rowboat near the top of the game (very small picture on the link), and during the the Bonus Game (which I played once) the cartoon worm on a hook dons a sequined suit, glasses, fishing hat and microphone and imitates Rod.

What the hell was IGT thinking when they created this game?!?!?  It really has nothing to do with the show, except for the reel graphics, the logo and the music.  Did Rod ever fish in his life??  Thank goodness it was only a penny slot!!!

I can see it now..."Come play IGT's newest Match Game Slot..."'Match Game Skeet Shooting with Johnny Olsen' -- premiering July 2007."

The slot is at least a year old. I think you'll see other slots with the TPIR brand name that don't have pricing games related to them like the first 4 slots released.

Several on IGT's site include:

Fort Knox Mystery Progressives

Showcase Showdown

Cliffhangers Bingo

IGT's site did have a mention of a TPIR Money Game slot, but not much was known about it. It didn't seem to be in any casinos and rumor has it allowed the player to win an actual car (but had no relation to the 4 previous slots)

Enjoy lots and lots of backstage TPIR photos and other fun stuff here. And yes, I did park in Syd Vinnedge's parking spot at CBS

It usually takes a while for these slots to get out to all the jurisdictions. I don't think the Rod Roddy fishing deal has ever gotten into New Jersey, while the progressive version (which I think was the Plinko variant) was finally approved sometime last year for AC.

/I don't think Rod Roddy fished, but he sure knew how to troll

Indeed! But did you know that Rod and Susan Stafford were great friends for many, many years?
