I have just heard news from NATPE that the clearance for "Temptation" is already up to 40%. I'm not sure which station group picked it up; does anyone have any additional info on that?

Only thing I've heard is the Fox O/O's... but I'd wait a month or two until the percentage goes up, since program reps will be out selling the shows.

From what I was led to believe, the first dibs go to Fox O&O's, then the next right of refusals in each market go like this:

In Order,

FOX stations,
MYNetwork stations,
then it opens up to any other station that wants it.

I've been encouraging the manager for our FOX station to seriously consider getting it instead of another bleepin' court show! Unfortunately, he does not remember *any* version of "Sale Of The Century"!

See...that's one thing I don't understand at all. Freemantle has the 80's "Sale" lot just sitting there. Why not dangle a set of 200 eps for GSN to pick up at a steal? Granted, GSN's audience isn't that big (but MyNetwork's isn't that big either)...

I guess that the reason, other than the fear of going up against Wheel and Jeopardy, that some stations don't want the show is that their managers simply have the same aversion to game shows as network execs like Les Moonves and Fred Silverman. Maybe that will change in the future; I don't know.

Seeing that the Temptation clearence is up to 40%, I wonder if my local Fox affiliate(WTXF-TV 29) in Philadelphia was a part of the "2nd wave" of pick-ups.

I wouldn't mind GSN picking this up during the summer just to whet our appetites for Tempration, but I don't think that's gonna happen given what they have in thei library anyway. I guess Jamie's Game Show Vault(very soon) will be the next best thing.

Also another correction... this is not an update. The 40% market share ONLY comprises of the ten FOX O&O MyNetwork affils. mentioned earlier.

Those 10 affiliates don't comprise 40% of the nation. Those 10 affiliates plus Fox O&O's in markets where they don't own the MyNetwork affiliate would equal 40% though.
