I don't think the French episode will air, since she really didn't have much to do with that (Besides the "Everything's fine, Allen.") comment.

...although (at least I always thought) that was the funniest moment of that episode.

Looking at the promo I think we just miss it.  I think they'll be showing the two eps before it.  I'm not positive on that, though.  Might not be a bad idea to record it anyway.

The French episode is airing right now, in case anyone missed it the last time.

Then again, I might be wrong that we just miss it.  And it still might not be a bad idea to record the 8:30 ET ep.

Since you're a member of both forums, please extend my apologies to the GSN board member and lurker of this board who took my word as gospel (even though I said that I wasn't positive that we'd just miss it).

Thanks.  :-)

I'll make sure to pass it along. :P

Small observation: This must have been Betty's lucky day or something, TWO puzzles guessed correctly on one clue...

Now they're showing a Ludden episode...with BW and Greg Morris. I think this is from one of the skipped 1980 weeks.

Or forget the whole thing altogether.  White is joined by Greg Morris in this ep, with Ludden hosting.

Sorry, folks--no more to see here.

Aw drat. I remember seeing that clip of Betty White getting those correct in one clue. I think it was named "The Salem Sisters" though it could've been another name for the clip.

I was surprised to hear there was nothing about Kitty. For goodness sakes, she was on TTTT in the 1950s and the 2000s.

She never appeared on TTTT in the 60s, 70s, 80s, or 90s?

All in all it was a good special, although I think it would have been nice if Susan Stafford had been given at least a LITTLE credit for Wheel of Fortune before Vanna.  Didn't she and Chuck get nominated for an emmy, too?

I also found it funny that the last line of a special about women & game shows was Betty White saying "...because it's Just Men!" :-)

Eh, I dunno...I wasn't all that impressed by it.  I mean, Dr. Joyce didn't really change anything...I could be wrong, but it seems to me like she just won one and then was smart enough to use that as a stepping stone for her career.

Betty did change game shows, definately!  She's been involved with so many for so long, how could she not?  And of course, Arlene was the first, and therefore very important.  I didn't really know much about her, so that segment was interesting.

I do think Meredith made a significant contribution as well, but she hasn't really been involved with anything but millionaire, has she?

But come on, the way they worked PlayMania in there at the end was ridiculous.  Shandi changed game shows?  Give me a break.

And wasn't it a bit weird that Vicki Lawrence, even though she narrated the show, wasn't even mentioned?  I mean, maybe I shouldn't try to play with all you big kids who know a lot about this stuff (that's why I don't comment very often, lol), but she was one of the earlier female hosts, and she certainly has been involved with a lot of shows - come on, Vicki played to win!  I'm pretty sure she didn't win an emmy for W,L,oD, but was she nominated?  I can't remember - I know she was nominated for something, but I might be thinking of that talk show she had a few years later...

And that bit at the end with Kennedy and PlayMania and all that just seemed like a lot of clips of annoying women.

I think I would have enjoyed a show about memorable moments from women playing...or something about the women who played a lot...or something.  I dunno.  Just my two cents (heck - maybe it's not even worth that much!).

No, it's pretty clear that, at the very minimum, you sure as hell seem to know more about this stuff than GSN.
