No more $100,000 Pyramid after 2/5

According to zap2it, The $100,000 Pyramid is gone after 2/5. And what takes its place? A classic show? Of course not, just another Gray Weakest Link rerun. What bugs me is that the 6:30 airing will air as well. Thoughts?

Given their current fascination with actually playing the G-T catalog, I'm surprised they didn't put another Goodson show in there (70s Truth maybe)

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I do believe this will be the first time since 1997 where at least 1 version of Pyramid won't be on the regular schedule.

Just another reason we have YouTube, PageOClips, GameShowVideos and the like.

This is just...wow.

You're wrong. There was a window a couple years ago.

For a short time in 2005, correct? Then it returned on the weekends at 5 and weekdays at 11:30.

I haven't had GSN for about 4 1/2 years, so these sites have become a preferred repository of classic game shows (some of which I haven't seen either in years or ever) for me.

So does this mean that this will be the first time that some version of the Pyramid is not on any US TV channel, either in first run or rerun?

What's wow about it? GSN ran the same season of episodes into the ground for umpteen years. It's about time they put it back on the shelf. They could've at least a) shown another season, or b) shown a different version (either ABC 70s or CBS 80s version). Granted they didn't have the full run of either (last two ABC years, and I think just the first CBS 80s season), they could've switched it up somewhat.

Except it wouldn't have been as "exciting". The absolute only reason they air the $100,000 version so much is the tournaments and that chance for a six-figure value.

Plus the CBS $25,000 was know for having plenty of dummies as celebrity players, ESPECIALLY when it first came back. I have some episodes featuring Lou Richards (of "Gloria" fame), and he didn't come back after that week. Then again he was paired against Pyramid vet Didi Conn...

(GSN has converted about the premiere to mid 1983 and mid-1987 to the finale of CBS $25,000.)

Honestly don't remember, or I would have posted the time window. I do remember that it came back in March or April, but I don't remember if it was '05 or '04. '05 feels right, tho.

I for one don't mind this one...I don't care for TWL Gray as much as I like Pyramid, but I've seen this season of Pyramid so much that it's not a big deal to me. Add $20K to the weekend lineup and I'll watch every commercial.

Don't feel bad.  Your question wasn't answered.  In addition to the Dick Clark version on GSN, the Osmond version was on TV between 2004-2005 either in syndication, ABC Family or Pax.  So this may be the first time in a long time that you could not see Pyramid without the use of VCR/DVR.
Let's Make a Deal was the first show to air on Buzzr. 6/1/15 8PM.
