There, fixed that for you (so it's a hyperlink).

It's been given initially the best slot on Fox--right after "Idol."  Of course, "Unan1mous" had post-result show placement and still got high ratings, but the tune-out was so massive (you're not going to hold on to all of an "Idol"-sized audience, but when more than half of that audience is running away from the next show, that's trouble) that it's not coming back for a second season.  And don't tell "Arrested Development" fans, but Fox's attempt to give it an "Idol" lead-in was even less successful.  Even if "Fifth Grader?" can hold on to a decent swath of the "Idol" audience, it still has to stand on its own without being propped up by "Idol."  But it's going to get more sampling than a lot of other shows would get.

OOOH!  A GS birthday gift for me from those wonderful folks at Fox.  Brilliant.

Wait...Feb. 27 is a Tuesday.  And House won't be on!?  For this!?

Unfortunately, I suspect the true title should be, "Hey - We Found Someone Dumber Than A Fifth-Grader!"

Which is pissing me off, BTW. Who do I have to kill to get Cecille and Megan booted off of that show? If there was a way to make electricity out of it, the vapid those two generate could power a small island nation.

If you name your children Dale, Dale Jr, and Dale #3, You might be a redneck.......or a quizshow host...

And as a service to some of the people of this board, I beg that you don't bitch and moan about the host before the show actually takes place.

Whether or not the game plays well, the casting of Foxworthy as host is intriguing to me.

If I want to bitch and moan, by golly, I'm going to.  I think the casting of Foxworthy tells us a great deal: that the show is going to be played for laughs at the expense of the adults. (Though I suppose you could have figured those things out from the title, and the fact that the show is on FOX.) If the show were to be hosted by Dick Clark, it would be full of overdramatic tension and the cheese factor would be off the charts. Not so much when you have a host whose main shtick is telling people why they might, in fact, be a redneck.

I think it was a great move by FOX, because they can draw in some non game show fans with Foxworthy. I think FOX finally got something right. You never know.

To paraphrase Jeff    "....if your daddy walks with you to school everyday because you're both in the 5th grade...you might get on this show....."

Is the show Fox-worthy?  Yep!

I'd rather have "Here's Your Sign" jokes than redneck jokes.  Seems much more appropriate.*

Foxworthy seems to be part of the trend of hiring comedians to do game shows, although he does seem to fit the...um....vibe this show is giving off.

*Gives me an idea for a drinking game.

ObGameShowConspiracy: Hmmm...in the 90s, all the comedians got sitcoms. In the 2000s, they all get primetime game shows.
